C-Innovation Expands Its Remote Survey Operations into Houma, Louisiana

News

C-Innovation (C-I), an affiliate of Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) and its family of companies, has expanded its remote survey operations to Houma, La.

C-I recently purchased a facility in Houma to support and expand its remote survey operations. This facility will be an addition to the current remote survey operations at its Mandeville, Louisiana facility.

The new Houma location provides C-I with the flexibility to improve operations, and the redundancy needed and provide clients even more reliable services by having two fully operational facilities.

Tim Bingham, survey manager, C-I, said, “This expansion is the direct result of our success in the remote survey industry. It gives us the capacity to operate double the number of vessels in the future. We are looking forward to drawing additional skilled personnel from a new pool of potential candidates in and around the traditional oilfield base of Houma.”

C-Innovation Provides Efficiency and Increased Production with Completion of 46th Well Intervention

News

C-Innovation (C-I), an affiliate of Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) and its family of companies, has announced the completion of its 46th well intervention in the Gulf of Mexico.

C-I, a leader in providing turnkey intervention services for the global subsea industry, also successfully completed three new riserless zone perforations, an industry first in both deepwater and high-pressure operations. The well intervention program provides increased efficiency along with faster response times for emergent situations through the quick mobilization and deployment of a vessel. C-I specializes in downhole operations, including production injection and integrity logging, caliper measurements, and setting water shut-off and zone bypass plugs. With more well intervention operations planned for 2023, C-I has played a pivotal role in increasing output for operators in the Gulf of Mexico.

George Wilson, riserless light well intervention project manager, C-I, said, “We are very proud to be a part of increasing oil production in this challenging geo-political climate. Riserless interventions on vessels offer both time and cost advantages over riser interventions. C-I’s program offers the added benefit of dedicated dock space with advanced fluid tracking for faster between-well maintenance.

”C-I’s well intervention program, which made its debut in 2017, has performed 31 hydraulic interventions and 15 mechanical interventions. The mechanical interventions included a total of 85 successful wireline runs, both e-line and slickline. C-I recently completed its longest mechanical intervention on board the vessel, Island Venture. With 79 days offshore, the operation included 22 e-line and slickline runs, as well as 22,205 barrels of fluid pumped into the well.

Wilson added, “C-I is a fully integrated service provider for our clients. Our turnkey solutions for well interventions alleviate the hassle of coordinating and managing the multitude of subcontractors needed to address complex jobs."

C-Innovation Provides Complete Subsea Service Solutions with New, Multi-vessel Port Fourchon Facility

News

C-Innovation, LLC (C-I), an affiliate of Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) and its family of companies, has expanded into a new facility in Port Fourchon, Louisiana, providing an additional dock facility for subsea inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) and riserless light well intervention (RLWI) services. These dedicated docks, along with C-I’s current docking location, will provide the company’s clients with faster mobilization, demobilization and between wells maintenance times, which translates into cost savings.

The second facility offers vessel loading, project system integration testing (SIT), mobilization and demobilization services for the subsea market. With 1,500-square feet of linear dock space and 400,000-square feet of yard space, the location features a Manitowoc 888 crane and a Taylor 36,000-pound forklift. Delivering C-I’s premier customer service, the facility provides 24/7 operations, 24/7 dedicated dispatcher support, a weekday manager, and client offices with conference rooms to be constructed later this year.

JeanPaul Guidry, shorebase operations manager, C-Innovation, said, “The new facility serves as a hub for executing all of our subsea projects. As C-I’s projects move from the initiation and planning phases, our shorebase operation facilities provide an efficient workflow as we move projects into mobilization and execution.”

The new Port Fourchon facility delivers comprehensive solutions for both subsea IMR and RLWI services on multiple vessels simultaneously. For IMR work, C-I provides both short and long-term storage for project equipment, and can move into SIT prior to mobilization. C-I can also mobilize all project equipment onto the vessel, without additional movements to/from slips.

For CI’s RLWI services, equipment and fluid can be staged prior to each mobilization or between well maintenance (BWM). SIT and preventative maintenance can be completed at the new facility before the vessel is ready to start a well campaign. The new Port Fourchon location also features a dedicated waste fluid area, allowing the vessel to remove fluids and clean tanks efficiently so new fluids can be loaded in a timely manner.

Guidry said, “Our customers trust C-Innovation with providing a turnkey project execution solution. Having facilities dedicated to project execution creates a unique offering within the subsea service provider marketplace, and helps strengthen the trust our clients have in C-Innovation.”

C-Innovation Signs Multi-year Contract for New Well Delivery Program and IRM Services

News

C-Innovation, LLC (C-I), an affiliate of Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) and its family of companies, has signed a multi-year contract with a major operator in the Gulf of Mexico, securing the C-Constructor to support the New Well Delivery Program and the Holiday for inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) services.

The C-Constructor and Holiday are both light construction vessels equipped with 150 MT subsea cranes and two Schilling UHD work class ROVs each. The C-Constructor will support the New Well Delivery Program and the Holiday will support IRM and emergent scopes for the operator.

The C-I New Well Delivery Program manages all aspects of well delivery operations post drill rig completion through well startup. The program reduces costs for operators by combining tree and well tie-in scopes. Historically, these two scopes were separated with tree installations being performed from the rig, which is more costly than performing the work from a vessel.

Leigh Anderton, New Well Delivery team lead, C-I, said, “This program stemmed from our client’s need for results without additional costs, and we were able to deliver the speed, flexibility, knowledge and experience to satisfy their goals. Similarly, the program advances C-I’s goal to be leading resource in turnkey project management, engineering, and offshore execution.”

Ryan Combs, program manager, C-I, concludes, “The multi-year commitment of two dedicated IMR Construction vessels for our client in the Gulf of Mexico is another major milestone in the longstanding relationship between both parties that exhibits C-I’s industry leading capability to provide tailored offshore service packages to meet our client’s needs. Fundamental elements of this success are the dedicated, talented team members from C-I and our close working relationship with our client. We look forward to what the future holds as we continue to build on our successes with this client for years to come.”
