C-Innovation, an ECO-affiliated company, recently completed a successful well intervention project onboard the ISLAND VENTURE safely and without any impact to the environment in the Gulf of Mexico.

BP’s lead engineer on the project, Dale Pumphrey, had this to say upon completion of the 3 1/2-week project:

I would like to say thank you and recognize the Island Venture team and BP GSE team for their excellent execution of the DC 323 Seal-Tite Intervention.

The team executed the intervention with no accidents, no incidents and no harm to the environment. All APM requirements were met with no INCs. The team successfully placed 253 [barrels] of Seal-Tite into the DC 323 Annulus by executing 41 lube and bleed cycles. This work was done efficiently with very minimal downtime.

Cinno2017THwP

C-Innovation, LLC (C-I), an affiliate of Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) and its family of companies, will play a key role in the Bass Lite Flowline decommissioning project for Apache Corporation.

C-Innovation will be responsible for flushing and preparing 60 miles of pipeline for decommissioning. The project, which is located in the Mississippi Canyon area of the Gulf of Mexico is expected to last approximately two weeks, will require two vessels with coiled tubing units and will be gas lifted using hot tap while flushing operations are executed.

“The project is complex and the timing will be critical as we manage the logistics of multiple vessels and ROVs along with partner Halliburton’s multiple coiled tubing units,” said David Sheetz, subsea manager, C-Innovation. “The ability to respond to Apache with a full solution reduces the cost to the client and also reduces the risks by dealing with a single subcontractor.”

The contract encompasses subsea construction, inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) and logistics services in the Gulf of Mexico. David Sheetz, manager of C-I’s Subsea Division, said, “This is a very large and significant contract for C-I and it helps solidify our reputation as a true, single source for subsea solutions with the backing and support of the diverse family of companies within the ECO group. C-I’s ability to offer a complete suite of services allows clients to have a single point of contact for all projects, which makes budgeting easier, saving time as well as money.”

With corporate headquarters in Mandeville, LA, C-I’s advanced ROV capabilities provide a broad spectrum of support to subsea construction projects, as well as drilling, intervention, maintenance and heavy lift assignments.  C-I was founded in 2007 to meet the growing demand for advanced ROV operations in the Gulf of Mexico.  It has since expanded into a highly diversified organization supporting major marine oil and gas operators worldwide.
